2008-08-18 Fatboy 2.0

On the long awaited album ”In My Bones” Fatboy shows, if possible, even more musical contrasts then its predecessor. “In My Bones” is released on the 24th of September through Fatboy’s own label Fat State Production with Playground Music as Scandinavian distributor.

During the recording of ”In My Bones” Sweden’s finest among musicians lined up for a piece of the action. Fläskkvartetten (The Flesh Quartet) are handling the strings, Sarah Dawn Finer is dueting with Fatboy’s Thomas Pareigis on ”The Way We Were” and the ladies of Baskery (ex Slaptones) appear a little bit here and there. Sweden’s equivalence to Woody Allen, Måns Herngren, fell in love with ”Busy Bee” so it just had to be in his new movie that is hitting theatres on the 25th of December 2008.

”In My Bones” talks to your hips as much as it speaks to your heart and it attracts attention from all kinds of people and uses every possible human condition as an instrument. The bitter sweet ballads crushes your heart until it bleeds, the edgy country lift’s of your hat and spin you around, the devilish rockabilly glance on you and threatens with a knife, the pop music shuts your eyes and make you forget the grey condition of everyday life.

When it is about music that caries history in its name, that is fashionably out of date, looks like it sounds and aint afraid to laugh at expectations, then one name stands when the others fall – Fatboy.

The first sample from the album is the single ”Way Down Low” that is released on the 10th of September and includes two exclusive bonus tracks.
